AN ORIHNANCE amending section 6.02.110 and 6.02.120 of
the Bremerton Municipal Code Chapter 6.02 Solid Waste Management.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Amendment'· Chapter 6.02 Solid Waste Management is hereby amended as
follows:
· 110 Membership and Terms of Office. (a) The committee shall be comprised of
seven members, including:
City Council Members (1) City Attorney or designee (1)
Public Works & Utilities Director or designee (1) Bremerton Citizen Members (3)
Administrative Services Director or designee (1)
(b) The members of the committee are encouraged to maintain dialogue with and obtain advisory
input from representatives of: Washington State Department of Ecology; Washington State
Department of Trade and Economic Development; Washington Utilities and Transportation
Commission; Association of Washington Cities; Kitsap County Solid Waste Manager; Bremerton
Kitsap County Board of Health; Washington Waste Management Association; Kitsap County
Solid Waste Advisory Committee
(c) Citizen members shall be appointed and removed by the Mayor with the concurrence of the
City Council. Citizen members shall be appointed for terms of two years. The City Council
President shall appoint the Council Member, who shall serve as Chair.
· 120 Meetings. The Committee shall meet as directed by the Chair. The Mayor shall
provide administrative support, as required, for the committee.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days
a~er passage and publication.
