AN ORDINANCE amending Chapter 13.12 of the Bremerton Muncipal Code to add
additional City-owned properties to the list of Parks provided for in the City's Parks
Protection Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton owns certain legal properties which have been utilized
by the City of Bremerton and its citizens for parks; and
WHEREAS, the 1989 Citizen's Referendum Ordinance 4283 authorizes the City Council
to add properties to the protected parks listing in the Bremerton Municipal Code 13.12.020 by
City Council majority vote of those present; now, therefore,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Amendment. Section 13.12.020 is hereby amended to read as follows:
13.12.020 PROPERTIES.
(a) The following commonly known parks of the City of Bremerton shall fall under the
provisions of this chapter:
l. Warren Avenue Play Field
2. Kitsap Lake Park
3. East Park (Pool Glenn Jarstad Aquatic Center/YMCA Area)
4. Blueberry Park
5. NAD Upper Park
6. NAD Marine Park
7. Evergreen Park
8. East Park Nature Area
9. Stephenson Canyon
10. Lionsq3e~ Community Playfield
11. Forest Ridge Park
12. Kiwanis Park

(b) The City Council may, by a simple majority of those present, add any parks lands to the
list above. Any additions made by the Council would fall under the full provisions of this chapter.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days from passage
and publication.
