AN ORDINANCE reducing the size of the Bremerton Planning
Commission from nine to seven members, and amending Bremerton
Municipal Code Section 2.12.010.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Amendment. Section 2.12.010 of the Bremerton Municipal Code is amended
to read as follows:
2.12.010 ESTABLISHED - APPOINTMENT AND TERMS. There is established a
planning commission planning commission which shall be appointed by the mayor and approved
by the city council. The planning commission shall consist of seven trine members who shall be

a qualified resident is not available. Their term of office shall be for four years. Members shall
be appointed for staggered terms so that at least one member shall be appointed annually. The
members shall serve without compensation.
Section 2. Implementation. Members of the planning commission serving on the
effective date of this ordinance shall serve out the remainder of their appointed terms. The term
immediately following an expiring term may be shortened if necessary to provide for staggered
terms with at least one member appointed annually.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days from
passage and publication.
