Home My WebLink About4555 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE adopting the revised Official Zoning Map of the City of Bremerton, Washington. WHEREAS, major revisions to the Official Zoning Ordinance and Map for the City of Bremerton were adopted in November 1988; and WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton adopted a revised Comprehensive Plan on April 5, 1995, in compliance with the Growth Management Act; and WHEREAS, the Plan amendments have created inconsistencies between the Plan Map and Zoning Map that must be corrected to comply with the consistency requirement of the Growth Management Act; and WHEREAS, all areas of the City have been reviewed, Plan/Zoning map conflicts noted, corrective proposals drafted, the City's Zoning Atlas updated, and a SEPA Determination of Nonsignificance issued on February 13, 1996; and WHEREAS, public hearings were conducted by the Bremerton Planning Commission on February 20, March 19, and April 16, 1996, prior to making its formal recommendation to the City Council for adoption of the new citywide Official Zoning Map; and WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council conducted a public hearing on May 15, 1996, to accept public comments pertaining to the proposed zoning amendments and considered the Planning Commission's recommendation; now, therefore THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Bremerton, as attached hereto as Exhibit "A" (Zoning Atlas), consisting of 11 pages, is hereby adopted. Section 2. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Bremerton, adopted in November 1988, and all subsequent amendments, are hereby repealed.
