AN ORDINANCE OF THE BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL
CORRECTING A MAPPING ERROR ON THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton adopted a revised Comprehensive Plan on April 5,
1995, in compliance with the Growth Management Act of 1990; and
WHEREAS, a minor mapping error was discovered in an area of West Bremerton south
of Pendergast Regional Park, which overlooked a Plan and Zoning designation approved in 1990
for an "industrial park" site; and
WHEREAS, this mapping error has resulted in an inconsistency between the City's
Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Maps; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Planning Commission reviewed a staffproposal to correct
this error and, following a public hearing oa July 18, 1995, recommended that the Comprehensive
Plan Map be corrected to designate the ~ site "IP, Industrial Park"; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council conducted a public hearing on January 10,
1996, to accept additional public testimony and to consider the recommendation of the Planning
Commission', now therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN that the West Bremerton
Land Use Plan map, contained in the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan, be amended
to add the "IP, Industrial Park" site, as delineated in attached Exhibit "A".
