AN ORDINANCE prohibiting outdoor feeding of birds or animals and amending BMC
7.08.100.
WHEREAS, the practice of feeding wild or domestic birds or animals by throwing or
scattering feed or otherwise allowing access to feed or edible waste creates a public nuisance by
attracting uncontrollable numbers of animals which irritate surrounding properties, littering of
private and public properties with uneaten feed, and attracting rodents and other pests to the
uneaten feed; now, therefore,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Amendment. Bremerton Municipal Code 7.08.100 is hereby amended to
read as follows:
· 100 NUISANCES. The following acts are prohibited and will constitute public
nuisances, and unless otherwise specified, shall constitute civil infractions:

(m) Outdoor Feeding: To feed or allow any ~lomestic or wild animals or birds to
feed outdoors at such times and in such numbers that (1) feeding birds or animals create an
unreasonable disturbance or accumulation of droppings on surrounding properties includin-
public property, or (2) feed remains uneaten for more than four hours.
