An ordinance amending BMC 6.04.066 to include recovery of
administrative costs.
WHEREAS, RCW 35.22.320 allows the City to abate garbage and debris on private property
and assess abatement costs as a lien against private property; now therefore,
The City of Bremerton Does Ordain:
Section 1, Amendment. Section 6.04.066 of the Bremerton Municipal code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
(a) Account of Expense.
The Building Official shall keep an itemized account of expense incurred for the removal
of rubbish or garbage from a property and the administrative costs incidental to abatement as set
by council resolution. Upon completion of the work, the Building Official shall prepare and file
with the City Clerk, a report specifying the work done, the itemized total cost of the work,
including administrative charge, a description of the property upon which garbage or rubbish was
removed, and the name and addresses of the owner or agent, and occupant or tenant if known.
