AN ORDINANCE amending the Official Zoning Map
of the City of Bremerton, Washington, for a single
parcel south of Highway 3 near Gorst.
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council, in November, 1989, approved a rezone to apply
the "SF-2" zone to a twenty acre parcel of surplus utility property that was acquired from the
City by Puget Western; and
WHEREAS, the rezone documentation was inadvertently never completed, and the City's
Official Zoning Map was not amended to reflect the 1989 rezoning action; and
WHEREAS, City staff initiated a correction to the Official Zoning Map upon learning of this
omission; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Planning Commission, following its review at a public meeting
on January 20, 1998, approved Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law in support of a
recommendation to approve this rezone to correct the identified omission, with the understanding
that a related amendment will be made to the City's Comprehensive Plan later this spring;
now, therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Bremerton is hereby amended to change
the zoning from "Forest Management (FM)" to "Residential, Low-density (SF-2)" on the
property described in attached Exhibit "A".
