AN ORDINANCE repealing Ordinance No. 4619 amending the City of Bremerton
Shoreline Master Program restricting docks and piers in the channel between Oyster Bay
and Ostrich Bay.
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has determined that provisions of City Ordinance No. 4619
appear to be a duplicate of Chapter Five of the Shoreline Master Plan, specifically Regulation No.
10 at Water Access and Moorage which mandates that piers and docks are to be prohibited where
navigation may be significantly impaired at entrances to bays, channels or coves; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has determined that City Ordinance No. 4619 is subject to
valid legal attack due to procedural deficiencies; now, therefore,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Repeal. Ordinance No. 4619 restricting docks and piers in the channel
between Oyster Bay and Ostrich Bay is repealed in its entirety.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days from
passage and publication.
