AN ORDINANCE amending the Official Zoning Map of the City of
Bremerton to conform to the 1999 amendment to the Bremerton
Comprehensive Plan and Map.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton has adopted Ordinance No. 4 70 9,
containing the 1999 amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and Map; and
WHEREAS, the 1999 amendment changes the Comprehensive Plan Map
designations for several parcels as set forth in this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 36.70A requires that development regulations be
consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and Map; and
WHEREAS, the Cit3, has received a Zoning Map amendment application that
will conform to and implement the Comprehensive Plan and xvhich is
described as follows; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning map designations are permitted outright
under the new Comprehensive Plan designations for the subject properties; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning map designation will accommodate needed
changes in the vicinity, and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning map designation will benefit the City of
Bremerton; and
WHEREAS, all essential public facilities are available and adequate; and
WHEREAS, the rezoning will not create spot zones, now therefore,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1: That the Official Zoning Map be amended to change a portion of
the Map from "Single Family Residential" (SF-3) to "General Business" (GB).
Said Map Amendment affects property located on the north side of Kitsap
Way approximately 351) feet on either side of Weslon Place. Specifically the
property involved lies in the Southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 24

North, Range 01 East, W.M. and includes all of tax parcels numbered 023, 024,

(125, 026, 034, 035, 036 and (175. · aid map amendment is depicted in Exhibit A
titled "Nance-Kitsap Way / \Veslon Place," attached and incorporated herein;
and
Section 2: The effective date of this Ordinance shall be ten (I 0) days from
the date of passage and publication by the Mayor and City Council.
