Damage claim presented by ~r.K~nes ~c~lroy, on aocoun~ of water pipe
g in his house at ~# 1~07 Pacific ~venue.

the City ~ttorney for investigation and decision on the mat~er, 5[o~ion carried

A represe.nt~tive of the Salvation Army addressed the meeting relative ~o
the exemption of his church from wa~er consmned and also what he considered an
overcharge on wa~er on his bill.
On the former t}~e Commissioners explained that the State Laws prevented -
~hem from furnishing free water to any institution and on the latter Commissioner
Casad said he would have their water^tested regaring the accuracy of water passing
through.
This being the date se~ for ~he hearing of protests 0'~ ~he assessmen~
roll for L.I.D No.ll5 and no pr~tests were presented either oral or Written,
~aid assess~nen~ roll.duly considered. ~r.Halverson moved and seconded by ~r.
Oldham tl~a~ the hearing be continued for further consideration. ~otion carried as

l. ir.Halverson moved and seconded by ~r. Oldham that all bills be a~proved
and allowed by a majority of ~he~ommission and the Olerk be instructed ~o

A representative of the Navy Yard Route Co. being presen~ addre~.sed the
meeting and made a lengthy statement ~n certain charges of hauling freigh~
~assing over ~he City Wharf and endeavoured ~o show the Commissioners where
the City would no~ lose money on the change,
~his explina~ien was no~ satisfactory to the Commissioners ~nd ~r.
Halverson moved and seconded by Er.01dham ~hat the meeting adjourn ~til
two o~clock £.~. this dm~e ~o further consider the changes made in hauling
freight passing over the Gi~y ~harf. Eo~ion carried ~s follows Er~dham,
