Regular meeting of the City Commissioners of the City of Bremerton.
IWashington, held at l0 o'clock A.M. Wednesday, Eay 18, 1927 with. ~ayor
C.E.B.Oldham, presiding and Co~nmissioners Halverson and Casad, present
at roll call.
~inutes of the previous meeting read and approved by the following vote
~r. 01dham, yes; ~r,Halverson, yes; ~r.0asad, yes;
I~r. Ray.R.Greenwood, being present requested a license for three pool
tables, three card tables, snd cigars and soft drinkd for ~r.Reizo Takahama
at the Lee~on Pool Hall, said license to date from Jul~ 1,1927 to July 1.1928
at a cost of $40.00
i~lr. Oldham,mmoved and seconded by ~,ir.Halvemson, that the ~'equest of Mr.
Greenwood, be granted and the Clerk instructed to issue the license. Motion
carried as follows, l~r. Oldham,yes; l[r.Halverson,yes; ~r. Oasad,yes;
~ letter from ~allace and Tiernan, on installing a chlorine Control
eqipment at the City Water Works, i~as read in which they said they furnish
and install the necessary equipment for the ~;um of $861.OO, time of shipment
within ten da, ys from date of ordering.
~r.~asad, moved a~d seconded by ~,[r.Halverson. that the Gommission call for
bids for the installation of a Chlorine equipment for the Water Works, as
recommended by The State Department of Heal~h, such notice to be published
in the official news paper, and bids be opened at l0 o'clock A.~. at the regular
session o£ the Commissioners June 1,1927

Nr.L.A.Bemder, being present, presented a deed to the City, for a strip
of land for alley or street purposes ~nd described ks follows,
"Beginning at a point on the south margin of Ninth stree~ and 100 feet
east of the east margin of warren avenue; thence south on a line parallel
to and 100 feet east of the eas~ margin of Union Street; thence west along
the north margin of Union s~reet l0 feet; thence north Z02.0~ fe~t more of
less to the south margin of Ninth street;~hence east l0 feet to the point of
beginning.
Hr Hlaverson, moved and seconded by ~r. Casad, that the Commissioners acce
the s~rip of land presented by Ur.Bender, Eotion carried as follows ~r.

~r. Casad, reported on clean up work and stated that 94 loads of rubbish
had been removed by the City trucks and recommended sending a truck to
Nanette for a weeks clean up and also stated~he would submit a report at
the next meeting on the Broadway improvement, ~r.Halverson moved and seconded
by ~r. Oldham, that all bills be approved ~nd allowed by a majority o~ the
Commissioners, and the Clerk be instructed to issue warrants for ssme,
