Regular meeting of the City Commissioners of the City of Bremerton,
~Vashington, held atbl0 o'clock A.M. Wednesday, May 11, 1927, With Mayor
C.E.B.Oldham, presiding and Commissioners Halverson and Casad, present at
Minutes of the following meetings April 27th.,Special, Joint meeting
of the Bremerton Commissioners and the City Council, and Mayor pro rem
of Charleston, to canvass the election returns on the consolidation and
form of Government for the consolidated City, and special meeting of i.iay
10th to hear the geeviences of the Happy Valley Community, regarding the
distribution of water supply,, were read and approved as read by the following
vote, ~ir. Oldham,yes; Mr. Halverson,yes; Mr. Casad,yes;
Letter received from the Active Club, of Bremerton, soliciting the use
of the play field for base ball practises on Wednesday and Friday evenings
for recreation purposes. The matter bein~ referred to the Play Ground
Committee.
Letter received and read from t~inck & 01aison, Construction Engineers
of Tulsa, Oklahoma, inquiring if the Bremerton ~Iunicipal ~Yater Plant, Was
for sal~, as they said they were prepared to buy, letter ordered filed.
Application for a renewal of Jitney license accompanied by a check of
$56.37,~to cover the per~od to July 1,1928, said route to be the same,
starting at the corner of Pacific Avenue and 4th. Street to High Avenue
and return to point of starting, Mr.Halverson m~ved and seconded by ~,{r.
01dham, that the request of ~,,[r.Harris, be granted and the Clerk instructed
to issue a license to expire July 1,1928, Motion carried as follows Mr.
01dham,yes; Mr.Halverson,yes; Mr, Casad,yes;
~r.Halverson,moved and seconded by I~[r.01dham, that all bills be approved
and allowed by a majority of the Commissioners, amd the Clerk be instructed
to issue warrants for same., Motion carried as follows, ~r. Oldham,yes;

;,~,~r. Casad, submitted resolution I.lo. SJ, the in~ention o~ said resolution
to improve Broadway Avenue, fron the north :nargin of Evelyn Street to the
center of Ralph Street, by clearing,~rubbing,grading, adjusting water mains
and connections thereto,Etc. ~[r.O~dham moved and seconded b$ Mr.Casad, that
~he Cler~e'instructed to have the resolution publisheld in ~he official
news paper for two successive issues and thereafter on the 1st day of June
1927 at l0 o'clock A.M. of said day, this Commission will hear protests
against said improvements by an~ person interested therein. Motion carried

L~lr. Oldham, moved and seconded by lv~r. Oasad, that the Commissioner of
IFinance with the City Treasurer, take up the matter of the redemption of certain
land in l~Ianette and report back to the City Commission. I,~otion carried as
