Letter received from Col C G.~inderson Chairman of the Kitsap County
!Chapter of the ~%ed Cross extending his thanks and that of the Chapter to the City
iCommissioners for ~heir new.e~arters recently fitted up for them in the City Hall
after the letter was being'~d it wa~ ordered filed.
LLrs Sarah J.;';illiams of Port Orchard submitted a quit claim deed to the
City on two lots situated on fourth Street in consideration of ~25.00.
The matter of acce~ting the lo~s was taken made:' adv~emen~and laid over
for future action.
D[r Halverson moved and seconded by i[r Oldham that all bill~ apcroved
;and allowed by a majority of the Commission the clerk be instructed to issue

iinstructed to write the Jtandt~rd 0il ~o and the Calpet i%efining Co and ascertain
ithe amount the would be willing to pay for the privelige of advertising on the
South side of the City Jharf Building plus the cos~ of Dainting the building.

!',Ir Casad,stated that the cham~el in the £)tmm2 at the City '.'later 3orks
~was in bad condition from contin~al ute amd to avoid serious trouble in the near
future should be replaced by a new one and suggested as a matter of economy for
ithe city that a new pump should be purchaced at a~ cost of about ~lS00.O0,and
suggested the advisability of immediate action with some of the Seattle ComDanies
iwho carry such materials,and after due consideration by the ~o~,~iosioners the
matter went over for future action.
