Regular meeting of the City Commissioners of the 0ity of Bremerton,
~Vash,held at l0 O'Clock A.M. Wednesday December 12,1928. with ~yor G.E.B.Oldham
presiding and Commissioners Halverson and Gasad and City Attorney Stevenson
present at roll call.
L~nutes of the pre~ious meeting read and approved as read
by the following vote I~ Oldham Yes,Mr Halverson Yes.~ Casad Yes.
Claim of J R.Rowam amd wife ~iarguirette E.Rowan for damage done to
home and property by the burstingof a water pipe belonging to the City and
located on the old Chico Road.
Mr Casad moved and seconded by ~ Halverson that the matter be referred
to the City Attorney and the Commissioners as a committee of the whole for
investigation. Motion carried as follows ~r Oldham Yes,~ Halverson Yes.

Letter from Judge James W.Carr read commenting on the Gas
Franchise Ordinance,and after being read was ordered placed on file.
~ G W.Palmwr being present addressed the meeting and offered his
protest against tesring up the concrete streete for the installation of the
proposed gas distribution to homes and business houses.
Mr Casad informed him that the intention was to put the mains in the
parking strips and where necessary to cross the streets the pipes would be
driven under the concrete slabs.
Mr Halverson moved and seconded by Mr Oldham that the Gas Franchise
Ordinance be read,Motion carried as follows L~ Oldham ~es,l~r Halverson Yes,

The Ordinance being read ~ Halverson moved and seconded by
l~r 01dham that the Ordinance as read be passed, Hotion carried as follows

A Resolution calling for a special Election on the Gas Franchise being presentE~
was read and on motion by ~ir H&lverson and seconded by ~ 01dham that the resolution
as read be passed, ~otion carried as follows,~,~ 01dham ~es L~ Halverson Yes,~ Cs~ad Yes.
~,ir Halverson moved and seconded by Ma' Oldham ~h~t all bills approved an~ allowed
by a majority of the Commissioner the Clerk be instructed to issue warrants for ~me,

held at 10,O'Clock A.~.l~riday December 14th,19E8 with ~ayor G E B.01dham p-residing
and Commissioners Halverson and Casad present at roll call.
~Lr Otto Voll being present addressed the meeting a~ length on the q~estinn
of securing the Playfield for permanant use for amateur athletics,Af~er the matte was
discussed by the Commissioners a final conclusion was reached whereby ~r Voll pr~ ised
to have the Kiwanis Club renew the option on the grounds owned by I~r ~oss,and th~
matter to be regulated by the Commissioner~ in ~he Budget for 19E9.

Commissiom~ Halverson and ~asad and City Attorney Stevenson present at roll cal~.
LLr Cased called the Commissioners attemtinn to the reported break and
claim for damages by the bursting of a water pipe on the old Chico road and suggested
that the Commissioners go there and investigate the conditions,to which they agreed.
