Letter read from the Chamber of Commerce returning the G~s ~rano~.ise
Ordinance with letter signifying approval of the Chamber.
Er A E.~nderson City Treasurer submitted his Bond for the ensuing year in
the sum of $2§.000.00, same being approved by the City Attorney as ~o form.
~&r Oldham moved ~nd seconded by Mr Oasad to approve and amoept the Bon~

Letter re~d from the 9ity A~o~ey re proposed ~s ~ranohise Ordinano~
and submitting an amended Ordinance prepared by A~orney.
New Ordih~oe was ~hen read and discussed a~ some length by the Co~is~ .oners.
~he A~orney and moms of the Citizens who were present.
I~ Donwor~h A~orney for ~he Gas Company s~a~ed ~hat there was no objection
~o mos~ of ~he suggested changes.
The original Ordinance was ~hen re~d and after discussion was ohanged
striking out ~he lat~er p~r~~ of Section 2, co~encing wi~h the words "The Gran~e

his heirs and assi~s" on ~he las~ line of page I to ~he end of ~he section. Also
by adding after "ahd o~her public plmcesM on the ~en~h line of Section 3. the wo~d
"or ~t ~he option of ~he Ci~ Co~ission". Also b~ addin~ ~ new section ~e~ 4,
as ~ollows: In ~he event of a~ assig~en~ of ~his franchise by ~he grandee,his sirs
and assigns,~he s~id grantee,his heirs and assigns,shall within 30 days of the m king
such assig~en~,file m no,ice ~hereof and to whom assi~ed,with ~he Ol~y Cl~rk o~ said
City, and such no~ice of assig~en~ shall be m~de a part of the records of his o~fioe.

reading of ~he franchise Ordinance and ~ha~ it be placed on file in the clerk's ffi~e

of ~he Oo~issioners he had a~ended ~he sale of lands held a~ ~eh~rd,and .ad purohac,
certain lands in ~he watershed of the Ci~y Namer Department for the s~ of $658.~0 and
December 5th continued.
and had recieved a deed to same £rom the Gounty Treasurer.
Llr Oldham moved and seconded by M~r Halverson that the deed be accepted

Yes. Mr Oasad reported that the repairs to the submarine water pipes to
East Bremer~on had been completed.
