Nednesday November 14th,1928. with Mayor ~ E B.Oldham presiding ~ommissioners Halverson and Cased and City Attorney Stevenson present at roll ~all. Minutes o~ the last ~egular meeting read and approved by the following 'otc l~r Oldham Yes,Mr Halverson Xes,Mr Cased Yes. Oommunication from Chie~ of Police Mr Walter H.Barowski stating he had [lscharged Patrolman Robert L.Blankenship from the Police ~orce as he felt that it present he could reduce expenses for the City. Mr 01dham moved and seconded by Mr Hal~emson that the amtion of the Chief >f Police be approved by the Commissioners. Motion carried as follows Mr Oldham Xes,Mr Ralverson Yes,Mr Cased Yes. Regarding the accident to Mrs Mary E. Golle, City Attorney Stevenson ~eported on conversations he had with Doctors Schutt,Longley and Barrier and also ~ubmitted two ex-Ray negatives showing her injuries and that the Doctors bills ~or attention and ex-Rays would be about $ 50.00,but final settlement was still ~M Halverson moved and secohded by Mr Oldham that all bills approved allowed by a majority of the Commissioners the clerk be instructed to issue ~ for same. Motion carried as follows Mr Oldham Xes,Mr Balverson Yes, Cased Mr Cased reported he had a,conference with }Ar Barr an expert on ~orks regarding an investigation and preliminary survey on the best method water supply for the City. He stated that he had talked with some Navy Yard and that they had recommended Mr Bart as a first class man and fully ~etant and reliable to submit a report that in his estimation would be ~or the t interest of the City. Mr Charles R.Collins and Mm Charles ~.Donworth of Seattle appeared before the Commission on the application for a Gas ~ranchise from the City of Bremerton. ~r Collins with the Commissioners and Oity Attorney Stevenson · ent into details of the proposed ~ranchise and after calling the attention of several items that should be incorporated in said ~ranchise in the City'S interes~ ~ Collins s~id he would have an Ordinance submitted that would embrace all the different suggestions at the next meeting of the Commissioners. Mr 01~ham moved and seconded by Mm Halverson that the ~ity Engineer be instructed to secure the services of Mr Barr the ~ater Works,expert to proceed wit his survey as per his letter of November , 1928,at a cost of $350.$0.
