Regular meeting of the City Commissioners of the City of Bremerton,~ash.
held at l0 O'Clock A.~. Wednesday February 29,1928,with ~Myor 0 E B.01dham
presiding and Oommissioners Halverson and Casad and City Attorney Stevenson
present at roll call.

Letter received from Dr H A.Barner on his investigation of the sanit$~ry
condition of location from Rogers and Laf~a~te Streets two Blocks North of
Second Street, The matter was referred ~o the City Engineer,
Letters received from the U.S.Senators and Congressmen of this
stating they had received the resolutions passed by ~he City Commissionerse~n
their endorsemen~ of the Dale-Lehlbach bill for increasing the allotment of
retired ~ederal employees and pledging their support to the bill at the proper
time. Letters ordered filed.
Attorney Stevenson suggested the clerk write to W.~. Sherman
and inquire for reasons regarding the concellatio n of bonds for Charlesto
City officials prior to the Consolidation of Bremerton and Charleston.
Regarding the questions of Miss Sheridan's property at 9th St and
~[~shington Ave. the City the City Engineer said he would take c~re of it..
Mr, Halverson moved and seconed by ~M. 01dham that all bills approve~
and allowed by a majority of the Commissioners the clerk be instructed
issue warrants for same.
Motion carried as follows.

Mr. C~sad suggested the holding up of improvements on High St.for
a short time for further consideration.
The clerk was instructed ~o write to N~r, W.J. Linsdale to seeLS. Casad re-
garding the construction of sewer as requested.
L~. Halverson moved and seconed ~l~N~r. 01dham that the Building Inspec~er
issue no more permits for the installation of Gas pumps in side w~lks or parking
strips.

~r. Casmd reported a vacancy in the office of chief clerk in the ~mter Dept.
by the removal of ~alph ~. ~ard, and appointed Mr. C.C. Du Vmll to ~he position
a~ a salary of $1§0.00 per month.
Er. 01dh~ moved and seconed by ~r. Halverson that the appointment of ~.
Du Yall be con£irmed by ~he commissioners.
