Resolutions read endorsing the bill introduced in Goriness by Congr ssman Lehlbach and U.S.Senmtor Dale in the Senate.both bills being identical, providing a libralizing of the retirement bill for ~ostal and all other Civil-Service Employ es, ~ Halverson moved and seconded by ~ 01dham that the resolutions as read be adopted and the clerk be instructed to fo~ard copies o~ s~e to Congresma~ Niller,Hadley,Johnson,S~mmers an~ Hill,and United Senators Jones and Dill. ~Iotion carried as follows N.r 01~ham Yes,N~r Halverson Yes,~r Casad ~es, ~r Oldham introduced an Ordinance entitled an Ordinance finding a public emergency to exist in the City Hall Departments of the City of Bremert~n and not provided for in the Budget for the year 19B8, stating facts constituting an emergenoy~the estimated amounts required to meet such emergency mnd declaring an emergency. Nr 01dham moved and seconded by ~Lr Halverson that said Ordinance as read be considered as its first reading and lay over to the next regular meeting of the Commissioners. N~r Cased moved and seconded by~Lr 01dham that the clerk be instructed to return deposit checks to the United Stmtes Cast Iron Pipe Co and the Pacific States Iron Pipe Co,such checks received with their bids on material for L.I.District No llB.
