held at l0 O'Clock A,M. ~edne~day January 18th,19E8,with N~.yor C E B.Oldham presidlag and
Commissioners Halverson and Casad and City Attorney Stevenson present at roll call.
Ninutes of the previous and adjourned meeting of January ll,19ES,read and
approved as read by the following roSe,Mr Otdham Xes,Mr Halverson Yes,Mr Casad Yes.
This being the date set for opening bidson furnishing Oil and Gas to th
City for the year l~28,~he clerk stated he had received three bids as follows,0alif mia
Petroleum Corporation,S~andard Oil Company,and the ~neral Petroleum Company,
Mr Halverson moved and seconded by ~ Oldham that the clerk open and rea the
bids. ~{otion carried as follows N.r Oldham Yes,Er Halverson ~es,~ Casad
California ketroleum Corporation,Standard Oil Company,and the General ~ ~roleum
Corporation,after reading of bids, Mr Oldham moved and seconded by ~ 0asad that th Oil
bids as read be laid over for further consideration.
Motion carried as follows ~ Oldham ~es,N.r Halvereon ~es,Mr Casad ~es,
Mr Sam Josephson Secretary of the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce being pz sent
addressed the meeting on the change of Street Lights and submitted a petition with signature~
representing ???2 l~n~al feet frontage o~ property and requested the Commission to act
on the proposition of installing the lights as soon as possible.
L~ Halverson moved and seconded by ~ Oldham that the matter of Street L~ghts
as referred to by ~ Josephsen be referred to the City Engineer to take the regula~
course, Motion carried as follows ~ Oldham ~es,~ Halverson ~es,I~ Casad Mss.
~ Halverson moved and seconded by ~ Oldham that aS1 bills approved and allowed
by a m~Jority of the Commissioners the clerk be instructed to issue warrants for s~me.
