Regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, Washington,
held Wednesday morning, September ll, 1929. Mayor 01dham presiding, Commissioner
H~lverson and City Attorney Gorman being present at roll call, Commissioner Casad
arriving after reading of minutes.
Clerk read minutes of regular meeting of September 4, 19£9. On motion by
I~r. Halverson and ~r. Oldham to approved.minutes as read carried as follows:
~r. Oldham, Yes; I~r. Halverson, Yes; },~. Casad, absent.
Clerk read letter from Central Trades Council protesting against any raise in
w~ter rates. Letter ordered filed.
Clerk read letter from Navy Yard City Mill requesting.permission to install
hydrnnt at their property on Navy Yard highway. Referred to Mr. Casad with power
to act.
City Attorney Gorm~n reported tha~ Attorney J. ~. Bryan had brough~ action
in the Superior Court to restrain the Commissioners from selling the recent issue
o£ bonds amounting to ~90,000;00 to ~he First National Bank.
Letter read from Mrs. NcKnight, ~020 Eleventh Street--outside city limits--
requesting permission to connect new residence with city sewer system. Motion by
~r. Halverson and Mr. 01dham to refer to City Engineer with power to act carried
as follows: Mr. Oldham, Yes; ~. Halvers~n, Yes; Mr. Casad, Yes.
Clerk read letter from ~irst National Bank of Bremerton withdrawing proposal
to purchase $90,000.00 bonds of Water Department. ~etter ordered filed.
].Iotion by }&r. Casad and ~. Oldham to e~tend Mr. Coyne's time for qualifying
on contrac~ in accordance wi~h bid un~il September 25, 19~9.
IIo~ion by N~r. Halverson and Mr. Oldham to adjourn until tomorrow morning at
9:50 o'clock carried as follows: }~. Oldham, Yes; },~r. Halverson, Yes; Mr. Oasad,

Pursuant to adjournment of September 11, 1929, City Commission reconvened at
9:Z0 o'clock A. ~., September 12, 1929, all members being present, and proceeded
to consider the budget for 19~0.
At 12:l~ p. H., the Commission adjourned on motion of ~. Halverson and Mr.
Casad, until lO:00 A. ~. Friday, September 13~ 1929.
September 15, 1929.
Co~ission again convened and' considered the 19~0 Budget, and at noon adjourn-
ed until ~onday, September 16, 19£9, at i0:o0 o'clock.
September 16, 1929.
Core, mission again convened and considered budget until noon and adjourned until
Co~ission again convened a~ 7:~0 P. ~., and together with a cont'nittee from
the Chamber of aommerce again considered the 1950 budget, adjourning at ll:00
