Regular meeting of the 0ity Oommission of the City of Bremerton,Washington,
held at ten o'clock A,M. wednesday January ninth 1929 With Mayor C.E,B.Oldham
presiding and 0ommissionersHalverson and Casad and City Attorney SteVenson.
present at roll call.

Letter read from City Treasurer advising the Commissioners that he had paid
the balance due Mr.~m,P.West and wife for the purchase of Lot 12,of Block 5. in
~Vm. Bremer's first addition to Bremerton amd Charleston, which had been ~ontracted
for by the City Council of the City of Charleston in 192~;a£~r reading the abstrac
the City Attorney had prepared affidavits to cure sleight errors, these were
and warranty deed had been executed by Mz and Mrs West; and as directed by the
.~yor he had delivered the abstract and deed with affidavits with the Port Orchard
abstract Company to have filed and brought down to date.
Motion by Mr. Halverson and ~. Oldham, To approve action of the Treasurer in
reference to the payment to Mr West, carried as follows: Mr. Oldham, Yes.

Letter received from the 0ommandant of the Navy Yard reporting that storm water
was finding its way into the Navy Yard from certain streets and requesting prevent:
action.
Motion by Mr. Halverson and I~,Oldham that request of Commandent be complied
with,and the City Engineer be instructed to attend to the matter; and the 01erk
instructed ~o inform the 0ommandaht of the action taken by-CommiSsioners, carried

Clerk read proposed Ordinance ~89~ being an ordinance declaring an emergency
to exist in the Treasurer's department of the City and appropriating $400,00
in payment of installment on 0ash register.
Ordinance marked first reading and ordered placed on file for public inspection
until nex~ meeting.
Clerk read proposed Ordinance ~891 being an ordinance declaring an emergency
to exist in the ~harf department and appropriating $6.000.00 to pay for
share of proposed necessary improvements at the ~irst Street'whar~.
Ordinance marked first reading and ordered placed on file in Clerk'g office
for public inspection.
Eotion by Mz. Halverson and ~.Oldham directing Clerk to call for bids on
work to be done at ~irst Street Wharf as per approved plans, bids to be opened
at r~gular meeting Jan.2~,1929, Carried as follows: ~r. Oldham, Yes.
