Regular meeting of City Come, lesion held on Wednesday September 6, 19SS at
lO.O0 o'clock a.m., with Mayor MCCall in the chair and Commissioners Buffing-
ton and Harrison present at roll call.
Minutes of previous meeting read and corrected to show that the land to
be purchased from the Port Blakely Mill Company contains lEO acres more or
less.
CommUnication read from Oscar Burtness making application for license to
operate vending machine at 3S1 Pacific Avenue. MUtion by Mr. Harrison,
seconded by Mr. Buffington, that ~application be referred to the Mayor with
power to act; carried unanimously on roll call.
Commissioner Burlington requested more time to report on the matter of
leasing wharf dance hall and request was granted.
Clerk read Ordinance $763, being an ordinance creating a cfui~ zone around
the Bremer~eh'.HoSplt~l. Motion by Mr. McCall, seconded by Mr. Harrison,
that OrdinationS763 b· passed as read; carried unauimously on roll
Motion bY!~Mr. McGall, seconded by Mr. Buffington, that all bills approved
b~ a majority of the Commission be allowed and warrants drawn for sa~me; carried
unanimously on roll call.
There being no further business to come before the Commission the meeting
was duly ~dJourned.
