Communic~atlon from Mr~.~F. G. WhalSy, State Examiner, with reference
to the raioing of' water~.rates in Charleston, was received.
Communication receiMed fhSm Fire Chief Lent recommending that 1200
feet of ~],, fire hose be purchased by the city at this time as much of the
hose now in use is old and will not stand very much water pressure.

Warrant #1, of L. I. D. #106 in the sum of ~1500.00 for fixed estimate be
approved by the City Commission; YY.
Clerk read Resolution No..4~, being a resolution of intention for the
paving of part of High Street. Notion by Nr. Cased, seconded by Nr.
Halverson, that resolution #41 be passed and adopted as read; YY. '~C
Clerk read Ordinance #821, being an ordinance amending Ordinance #505.
Notion by ~.Ir. Halverson, seconded by Mr. Cased, that Ordinance #8~1 be
passed and adopted as read; YY.
Clerk reported that this was date of continued hearing on proposed
improvement of Sixth Street by paving and that no protests had been re-
ceived. Clerk read Ordinance #8~.~, being an Ordinance creating L. I. D.
//-107. Notion by Nr. Halverson, seconded by Mr. Cased, that Ordinance #8~
be passed and adopted as read; yY.
It was reported that I.,~r. Bare,ski had approved the issuance of a card
table license to ~.ir. NartiD Cathley at 521 Pacific Avenue~ and on motion
o~~ :~r. Halverson, seconded ~by Mr. Casad, application for license was granted.
Notion by Er. Halverson, seconded by l~r. Cased, that all bills approved
by a majroity of the Commission be allowed and warrants drawn for same; YY.
i~otion by ~h~. Cased, seconded by ?.r. Halverson, that City Clerk be in-
st~ucted to advertise for bids for paving work in L. I. D. #107, bids to be
returnable September 16, 1925;
Commissioner Casad reported that East Bremerton is without water for a few
days on account of break in submarine supply line.
