Er Sachlaven representing the Puget Sound Power and Light Co being present !addressed the meeting regarding the privelege to paint in front of their new iquarters,a no parking sign on the street,and stated the Company would not park itheir own cars there, The matter was laid over for rurther consideration. Er liarion Garland being present submitted an application for the renewal !of the Bremerton-Charleston Trahspqrtation Co's license accompanied by a check ~for $~B0.00.and reqquesting a change of route to %th Street to take effect ~February lst,19g?. ~r Garland stated the Co's reason for the change in route was to escape Ithe congested condition and competition on their present route and also their iproposed reduction of fares in book form for tickets at 7~ cents for round trips iotherwise the fares would remain as et present~, He also stated that the Co, !considered there would be less wear on tires over the Bth Street route as the street was in better comdition. ~r Oldham moved and seconded by Er Halverson that the matter be taken iud later, ~otion carried as follows Ur Oldham Yes Er Halverson Yes,l~ Casad Yes. Application from ~Ir George J.Grey for a taxi license to operate in the iCity and after being eead was referred ti the Chief of 2olice for investigation. Adjourned meeting of the City Oommissioners of the City of ~remerton,Wa~ held Nednesday December 29,1926,at 3 o'clock P.E, with Mayor C E B.01dham presiding and Commissioners Halverson and Casad present at roll call. The meeting was ca,led for the purpose of awarding the comtrac~ for the f~re truck, Mr 01dham moved and seconded by ~ Casad that the bid submitted by the General Motor Truck Co be accepted as submitting the ~t-~ best bid,and be paid on delivery of truck the sum of $1250.00,balance of their bid of $2200.00 on or before one year thereafter,and ~he checks of all other bidders ~o be returned.
