Regular meeting of the Oity Oommissioners of the City of Bremerton,
Wash, held Wednesday AUguSt 11,1926 at IO.00.A.M with Mayor 0 E B.01dham
presiding and CommissiOners Halverson and Casad present at roll call.

Petitions were submitted by property owners on EIi~abetb,Ninth,Ralph
and Evelyn Streets as follows,Elizabeth to end of Street,Evelyn Street Park
to Warren Avenue,Ninth Street Park to Warren Avenue~ Ralph Street,Park to
Warren, Warren Avenue from Evelyn..~treet to Ralph.
After the petitions were,by the olerk,M~ Halverson moved and seconde~
by ~ 01dham tha$ the p~$itions A~ read by the clerk bereferred to the 0ity
Engineer for checking up and report at a future meeting,

~Mr G N.W°rden County ~Agrioulturiet being present addressed the
meetingAa vigorous e~pa~gu for the distructlon of the insect known as the
Earwig,and suggested the purchace of traps and poison to be used by the
citizens and could be put'hated in packages at the rate of
$4.00
per
and also left circulars containing information on the llfe and character
of the bug. Mr Jessup being present suggested that quantities of the
traps and poison be left'with the different merchants in the city and be
sold to the people, the ,0ommissioners promised all the aid they could give
to assist in any campaign'Tor thei~ extermination.
Mr Casad moved.~and seconded by Mr Halverson that the Mayor with
BM Jessup and Mr Worden.act as a committee .to work up and devise some plan
of action for the.extermi~ation of'the bug , ~,~otion carried as follows,

Judge James W.0arr being present addressed the meeting~a~d said
that several persons were present to be heard on certain grievances they
had regarding themanagement Sf the City Dock.
Messers Kenyon, Flieder,Turner,Peak of Charleston and others spoke
on different things that,'they considered injurious to the local merchants
by the wharfinger and requested the Commissioners to remidy the conditions.
Mr~Halverson moved and seconded by ~,~ Oasad that the business
operations of. the. Ctty/~rnarf be investigated by the Commission as a whole
and report the result.off,their findings at the next meeting.

A communication in the form of a claim for damage doneb~y[the
bursting of. a water main on Warren Avenue, claiment being ~,~ D H.Dewey,
extent of claim being $§8.44. and on motion by NM Halverson and seconded
by h'M Casad the matter of damage claim be referred to the contractor for
the improvement of L.I.District No lll,

Mr Halverson moved and seconded by ~,~ 01dham that all bills
approved and allowed by a majority of the cmmmission,the clerk be dnstructed
to issue warrants for same,
