Regular meeting o~ the City 0ommission of the City of Bremerton, Washington,
held on wednesday August ~0,1950 at ten o~cIock A.M. Mayor Oldham presiding,
Commissioner ~verson and City Attorney German being present at roll call.
Clerk read minutes of regular meeting held on August 15,1950 .
Motion by Mr. Oldham and Mr. Halverson to apprSve minutes aa read, carried as
follows: Mr. 01dham Yes. Mr. Nalverson, Yes. Mr. Casad. Absent.
Motion by Mr. Halveraon and Mr, Oldham to allow all bills approved by a majority
of the Commission, carried as follows: Mr. Oldham, Yes. Mr. Ralverson, Yes. Mr.
Casad, Absent.
Mr Casad arrived at this time and reported that he had been out fighting a forest
fire which is threatning the City watershed~
Clerk reported this as date of hearing on the proposed vacation of alley in Coder's
addition. Motion by Mr. Ralverson and Mr. Oldham to lay on the table, carried as
follows: Mr. Otdham, Yes. Mr. Halverson, Yes. Mr. Casad, Yes.
Mr. Casad reported that he had sent out cards to residents of Elizabeth street
on the proposition of extending the sewer on thenorth end of that street and he had
only found two property owners against the proposition, he also stated that the City
Health Officer had stated that this sewer should be constructed at once! the City Attorney
was instructed to prepare resolution of intention for tSe improvement.
Mr. Casad reported that the street department was badly in need of a new
and he desired tc lease this equipment and make payment from the Road and Bridge fund.
Motion By Mr. Casad and Mr. Oldham to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute
a lease with the Western Tractor and Equipment Compa~ for the use og a tractor for
the road and bridge department, carried as follows: Mr. Oldham, Yes. Mr. Halverson,
Yes. Mr. Casa~, Yes.
Motion by Mr. Halverson and Mr. Oldham to adjourn. Carried as
Mr. Oldham, Yes. Mr. Ea~rson, Yes. Mr. Casad, Yes.
