Regular meeting of the City Cormnission of the City of Bremerton, ;Va~hingt~n,
held on wednesday ~[ay E8,19DO at ten o'clock .~.~. Mayor Oldham presiding, Oomm.
Casad and City Attorney Gorman being present at roll call. ~
Clerk read minutes of previous regular meeting and on mo~ion of ~.Oldham
and Lit. Casad same were approved as read all members voting Yes.
Clerk read letter from Central Trades and Labor Council reporting that a
fire hazard exists in the Rialto Theatre building, and same was referred ~o the
Building Inspector.
Clerk read letter from H.H.Ballou Offering ~o sell Lo~ ~0 of Block l? of
the original plat of Bremer~on a~ public auction for the sum of $800.00 if ~he
city would instal sanitar~ plumbing in ~he building on ~he o~her lot,adjoining.
Clerk called at~en~ion ~o the fac~ tha~ ~he Oily was now the owner of the
lot in question,by reason of a deed from County Treasurer. The matter was re-
ferred to ~he commit~e of the whole for consideration.
The qaes~ion of widening Eleven~h~s:reet was discussed a~ some length after
which interested persons present were informed tha~ deed for ~he strip of land
necessary for the widening, of this part of the street wo~ld have to be presented
to the City, or the work would have ~o be done as a Local Improvement District
and the property aquired,by condemnation.
~Iotion by Er. Oldham and Hr. Casad to allow all bills approved by a majority
