Regular meeting of the City 'Commission of The City of Bremerton. Washington,
held on wednesday morning Nay 21,1930 mt ten ~'clock , Mayor C. E. B. Oldham,
presiding, Commissioner Halverson and 0ity Attorney Gorman being present at roll
call;~Commissioner Casad arrived a few minutes laterl
~lerk read minutes of regular meeting held on May 17,1930 and on motion of
I~. Oldham and l~r. Halverson s~me were approved as follows: ~r. Oldham, Yes. ],ir.
Halverson, Yes. (Mr. Casad, Absent)
Clerk read petition from several proper~y owners requseting that right of way
be vacated: Pitt Avenue from i~s Junction wi~h East Eighth Street and Hayward Ave
to East Ninth Street. Olerk also read resolution setting wednesday the 18th day
of June 1930 at ten o'clock as the~ime of hearing on said vacation.

Clerk read resolution declaring an emergency to exist in ~he ~ire Departmen~
and setting aside $1400.00 appropriated ~or the purchase of hose and this money to
be used for the rental of a White ~ire Truck with a ~00 gallon pumper thereon.

City At~oney reported tha~ in the case Sea~tle Bakeries against ~he City,the
court had held that our ordinance ~909 was valid.
~r. C~sad reported having checked the petition for the improvement of the alle
running from Venet~ to Chester between ~ifth and Sixth Streets.

ineering department to furnish ~he City Attorney with the data necessary to prepam

I,~. Casad filed preliminary estimate on the proposed sewer extension on Wycoff
~. Anderson of Eleventh Street reported that ~he property necessary for the
widening of that thoroughfare could be purchased for $2~0.00. ~;~i ~?,~
