i{egular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bremerton,Washington,
held on wednesday April 30.1930 at ten o'clock A.M. Present ~.[ayor Oldham, oommissloner
Halverson, Commissioner Casad and City Attorney German.
Clerk read minutes of regular meeting of April 23.1930 . Motion by Mr. Oldham
and I,,~ Halverson to approve minutes as read, carried as follows: ~. 01dham. Yes.

Clerk read letter from several property owners on Highland Avenue protesting
against the issuance of permit to erect a community garage to T. O.Buffington;
I.ir. Oldham reported that he had investigated and found that ~r.Buffington kaA been
given a permit to erect the garage on his property which adjoined that of },ir. Yowell
and the City Attorney reported that there was no City Ordinance prohibiting the con-
struction of such a building; letter ordered filed.
Clerk read letter from Mr. H. D. Hanson requesting permit to operate a Jitney bus
from the intersection of First and ~ashington to a point on Telegraph AVenue near the
i.ianette Masonic Hall. Some discussion arose as to the necessity of issuing the permi
iat this time and the hearing was continued until saturday May 3,1930.
Clerk read petition from proper~y owners eesiding on MoKenzie Avenue requesting
the commission to order the improvement of that street and other streets connecting wit~
Park Avenue. by paving etc., Letter referred to the City Engineer and Attoenry.
Motion by ~,~ Halverson and },M. Oldham to allow all bills approved by a majority of
the co:~nisslon, carried as follows: Mr. Oldham, Yes. Mr.Halverson. Yes. Hr. Oasad.Yes.

)peration of two Jitney busses of 21 passenger capacity, from the intersection of
~irst Street and Washington Avenue to a point on Telegraph Avenue near the East Bremerte
