Regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bremerton,Washington,
held on wednesday April 9,1930~t ten o'clock A.M. ~ayor Oldham, presiding;
Co~Eissioner Halverson, Commissioner Casad and City Attorney German being present
at roll call.
Clerk read minutes of regular meeting of April 2,1930 and on motion of ~.
Oldham and ~r.Halverson same were approved as read, all members voting Yes.
Clerk read letter from Peninsular 0il Co. requesting permission to place a
supply pipeline across Montgomery Street.
Eotion by Nr. Casad and Mr. 01dham to grant permit if Company will furnish a
map showing location and detail ef pipeline and deposit $26.00 te reimburse the
city for repairing the stree~ carried as follows: Mr. Oldham, Yes. Mr. Halverson,
Yes. ~r. Casad, Yes.
Clerk reported this as date Set for opening bids for official publications and
s~ated ~hat two bids ha~ been received: Motion by ~. Halverson an8 I.~.Oldham

Bids were opened and were from The Bremerton Press and the News Searchlight Co.
The Press offered to do the work for 40 cents per column'inch for firs~ insertion
Z0 cents for subsequent insertions. The Searchlight offered a bid of 19 cents per
column £nch for first and 18 cents for subsequent insertions.

Clerk read letter from Mr. D.C.Tenne~, Secretary and General ~nager of
American Gas and Construction Company,of Minneapolis,Minnesota, requesting a fifty
year franchise for the manufacture and sale of gas, and promising to immediately
start on the construction of the plan~ if franchise was a~proved.
Clerk read proposed ordinance granting unto D.C.Tenney,his heirs,successors and
assigns, a franchise for the purpose of furnishing the citizens of Bremerton, Wash.,
with ligh~ heat and power by gas. and the right,privilege and franchise to construct
maintain and operate gas works.

Clerk read a resolution authorizing the sale of certain property on Sheldon Blvd
~o Mr Frank Erickscn and on motion of ~&r.Halverson and ~r. Oldham same was referred
to City Attorney.
