Regular meeting of the 0ity 0ommission of the City of Bremertcn, ~ashingtcn
held on wednesday August 5, 19Jl at, ten o'clock A.M. Mayor, McGillivray presiding,
Commissioner Halverson, Commissioner Cased and City A~tZrney Gormau bein present
at roll call.
Clerk read minutes of regular meeting of July 29,19~1 and on motion of Mr
Cased and Mr Halverson same were approved as read,ali members voting Yes.
Clerk submitted bond of Mr James ~. At,well contractor in ~.I.D. $124. which
had..~b~n approved by ~he 0ity Attorney as to form.
Motion by Mr Halve~son and Mr McGillivray to approve bond of Mr At,well conSraotor
in L. N~ D. ~lZ4,carried as follows : Mr McGiltivray, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes.
Mr Casad, Yes.
Clerk read Ordinance ~gA~ providing for a permi~ for the installation of new
or different heating systems,requiring licenses for Journeymen and Master Sheet
Metal workers;providing for the examination,registration and bonding of Master
Shee~ Metal workers,inspection of work and orea~ing an examining board for Jour-
neymen sheet metal workers,defining offences and providing penalties for violation
thereof.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr McGillivray to pass ordinance as read,carried as
follows: ~ McGillivray Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr. Cased, Yes.
A proposed ordinance regulating loan offices was submitted by interested persons
and was referred to the 0ity Attorney .
Motion by ~r Halverson and Mr Casad to allow all bills approved by a majority of
the Commission, carried as follows: Mr.McGillivray, Yes. Mr. Halverson, Yes. ~M
Cased, Yes.
Mr H2lvers~n reported that a small fire had occured at the Municipal wharf,with
damages amounting to $50.00 which was covered by insurance.
City A~torney reported on the claim of Mrs Kenneline for damages to her car in
the amount of $143.00 and in consideration of the City paying the bill for repairs
now due Mr 01sen she had si~d a release in full to the City.
I~otion by ~ Halverson and Mr MoGillivray ~o allow claim and instruct Clerk to
pay $14~.00 to ~Lr Olsen, carried as follows: Mr MoGillivray, Yes. Mr. Halverson,Yes.
