Regular meeting of the City Oommlssion of the City of Bremerton,Washington,
held on saturday September 30,193S, at ten o'clook A.M',Ma~or MoGlllivray,presldlng,
Commissioner Halverson,Commissioner Oasad and Oity Attorney being present at roll
call.
Clerk read minutes of September 23 and September S5,193S and on motion of Mr Halv rson
and Mr Cased same were approved as read,all members voting Yes.
Clerk reported this as date set for opening bids for cast iron pipe and that ~lve
bids had been received. Motion by M~ ltalverson and Mr MoGillivray to open bids
carried as follows: Mr McGlllivray, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Cased, Yes.
Bids were opened as follows~from Pacific Water Works Supply Co. from Pacific
States Cast Iron Pipe Co. from Hugh Puroell Agent U.S.Cast Iron Pipe Co., from
American Cast Iron Pipe 0ompany an~ from R. D', Wood Company.
Motion by Mr Halverson and M~McGlllivray to refer all bids to Engineer for
putatlon,carried as follows: Mr McGiilivray, Yes. ~Ir Halverson, Yes. M~ Cased, Yes.
Motion by M~ Halverson and M~ MoGlllivray to allow alI bills approved by a ~sJori y
of the commission, carried as follows: Mr. McGlllivray, Yes. ~[r Halverson,Yes.
Mr Cased, Yes.
The Engineer reported haVing computed the bids and found as follows:
R. D. Wood $44!4.50~ U.S.Oast Iron Pipe Oo. $4120.50; Pacific States O.I.Pipe Cc
$4365.80; Pacific Water Works Supply 0o. $~175.00 and American Cast Iron Pipe Co.,
$4482,50. an alternate bid which did not comply with specifications was made by the
Pacific Water Works Supply Co. amounting to $40?0.00.

and return checks to unsuccessful bidders carried as follows: M~ McGillivray, Yes.
