held on Saturday June .3, 19~3 at re? ~'clook A.M. ~ayor McQillivra¥, presiding,
0ommissioner Ralverson, Commissioner Casad and City AttorneF~Qyrma~ being present
at roll call.
Clerk read minutes of regular ~eeting of May ~7,1953 and on motion of Mr.
0asad and Mr Ralverson same were approved as read all members voting Yes,
Clerk read resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor and City Clerk
to sell to Mrs. Bertha Johnson all of lots sixteen (16) and seventeen (17)
in Block Eight (8) Union Eig~ ~ohool addition for the sum, of $5?5.53.
Motion by Mr ~alverson and Mr M~gillivray to pass resolution as read,carried
as follows: Mr MoGillivray, Yes. Mr Ralverson, Yes. Mr 0asad, Yes.
Motion by Mr Halverscn and M~ Mo~illivray to allow all bills approved by a
majority of the commission, carried as follows: Mr McGillivray, Yes. Mr.'Hal-
verscn, Yes. Mr Casad, Yes.
~he 0ity Attorney reported that pursuant to instructions of the Mayor an~
Commissioners he had attended the meeting of City attornies at Olympia,l~ashington,
convened for the p~rpose safeguarding the interests of the several cities re-
presented in the administration of the new law taxing municipally ~wned public
~tilities.
Motion By Mr. Halverson and Mr 0asa~ that the 0ity attorney and the Mayor
}e authorized to take such action as they may dee~ necessary to protect the
interests of the City of ~remerton, carried as follows: Mr McQillivary, Yes.
Mr.?Ralverson, Ye~o Mr. Casad, ~es.'
Three ladies appeared before the commission and stated that they lived in
he vicinity of the ~u~et Spur~l Steam Laundry and that the smoke nuisance had
~eoome unbearable and th~n~r~a~ the commissioners take take some action to
abate the nuisance.
Motion by Mr Ralverson and Mr McGillivray to refer to building inspector,
~arried as follows: Mr Mo~illivray, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr 0asad, Yes.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr MoGiltivray to adjourn, carried as follows:
