Clerk read minutes of the regular meeting held on 0ct.27,1934 and on motion of Mr. [~lverson ~,~d Mr Cased same were approved as read all members voting Yes. Clerk read petition from interested property owners requesting that the alley in Blk, Bremer's First a~ition between f~aval and Hewltt Street be paved. ',lotion by Mr Halverson and Mr McGillivray to refer to City ],~ngineer,car£ied as ,r McGi]livray, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Cased, Yes. Clerk read letter from City ,.ngineer submitting assessment roll and reporting comple~ on of the improvement of Montgomery ~ve. under L.I.D.#130 at a cost of ~'4~09 per front 'oct and reco~m,~ending that the job, be accepted. CLERK M~Y 0 i~ovei~ber 7, 1934. ~djourned meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, ,~ashington, reconvened at ten o'clock ~.M. on wednesday November 7, 1934,Mayor McGillivray, presiding, Con~issioner Helverson, Commissioner Cased and City attorney Gorman being present at roll call. Clerk reported having received three bids on each of the Jobs for which proposals (1) had b~en advertised: viz; High ~ve. et al. Fourth and Fith Streets et al. and Tenth Street. Motion by ~r Halversou and Mr Cased that bids be opened, carried as follows: ~r ~cGillivray Yes. ~r Halverson, Yes. Mr Cased, Yes. Bids were opened and found to be from Parker L~aber Co. Lofthus L~ber Co. and J. S. Kenyon; the first t~m bids were accompanied by certified c~ecks; the bid of J. S. Kenyon had neither Certified check o2 bidding bond and Clerk was directed not to read the Kenyon bids. Clerk read the several bids from Parker L~aber Co. and The Lofthus Lumber Company a~d on motion of ~r McGillivray and Mr Halverson bids were referred to the City mngin I~or ~omputation until next saturday morning, all members voting Yes.
