Regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bremerton,Washington,held on
Saturday June ~9,1935 at ten o'clock A.M. Mayor McGillivray, presiding; Commissioner
being present at roll call;
Halverson and Commissioner 0asadl/the 01fy Attorney arrived a little later.
Clerk read minutes of the regular meeting held on June ~,1935 and on motion of
Mr Halverson and Mr Cased same were approved as read,all members voting Yes.
Clerk read resolution requesting the Director of Highways to approve the payment
of $788.85 for the purpose of completing the payment for the widening of Sixth Street
west of Naval Avenue, and the Commissioner of Streets explained the reason for the
resolution and urged its passage.
Motion by Mr ~asad and MrHalver~.to pass and adopt resolution as read,carried
as follows: Mr McG~llivray, Yes. M~Halverson, Yes. Mr 0asad, Yes.
0lark read resolution requesting theD~'~ad~0r~o£~:'B~gl~ways to approve the payment
of $1500.00 from that portion of the gasoline fund allocated to the City of Bremerton
to complete the payments in L.I.B.~l~2.and 13§.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Cased to approve aaa adopt rasolu~ion,carried as
follows: Mr McGllllvray, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Cased, Yes.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr McGllllvray to instruct the 0lark ~d Treasurer to ~
'aw no further warrants on the Street ~onstruotion and Maintenance fund until said
fund has cash to pay same; carried as follows: Mr McGlllivray,yes. Mr HaIverson,Yes.
Motion by Mr Halverson and~Mr:MoGilliVray to altowall bills approved by a majority
of the commission, cart&ed as follows: Mr McGillivray, Yes. Mr Halverson,' Yes.Mr CasadY,
Motion bY Mr Halverson and M~ CaSed that not to exoee~:$~50~00 be allowed from the
Light Plant Appraisal Fund for the purpose of ascertaining the value of the plant of
The Puget Sound Power and Light Company in Kitsap Oounty,oarried as fOllOws:

Clerk read 0rdlnanoe ~1055 providing for the sale of Water Department Refunding Bom
for the purpose of refunding $08,?00.00 of improvements and betterments bond~,establis.
hinga special fund for the payment of said refunding bonds; and providing for setting
aside a certain fixed amount from the gross revenues of the water system.
Motion by Halverson and Cased to adopt ordinance as read,carried as follows: ·

The Mayor appointed the following citizens to serve as a civil service board for
the city: Mr H. E. Wheeler, 1907 Fifth S~eeq, Six Years; Mr E. C, Ebert 1319 llth
Street, Four Years. and Dr. John N.Nelson 150~ Park Avenue, Two yeaws.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Cased to confirm appointments,carried as follows:

Motion by Mr MoGillivray and Mr Cased to authorize the City Attorney to offer Mrs.
Bergl%nd $300.00 for right of way across her property in proposed improvement District
at East Bremerton; or proceed to condenm, carried as follows: Mr McGilllvray, Yes.
