Regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bremerton,Washington,
convened at ten O'clock A.M.,June B0,1936 with the Mayor and Conm~issioner of
Finance present; it was agreed to adjourn until Tuesday morning ~une E3,1956
at ten o'clock.
June 2S, 1936.
Adjourned meeting called to order by Mayor McGillivray at ten o'clock
~r Ha lverson and Mr Casad being present.
Clerk read minutes of the regular meeting held June 15,1936 and on motion of
~r Halverson an~ Mr McGillivray same were approved as read,all members voting Yes.
0rdinance #1092 was taken up and on motion of Mr Halverson and Mr McGillivray was
laid over until next saturday at ten o'clock A.M.;' all members voting Yes.
Clerk read petition frc~ Geo.A.Carter and 16 other persons requesting that the alle
in Block 17 0.T.Bremerton, be paved.
Motion of Mr McGillivray and Mr Mr Casad to refer to Engineering Dept.for checking,
carried as follows: Mr McGillivray, Yes. M~r Halverson, Yes. Mr Casad, Yes.
Clerk read letter frcm Ralph T.Connell the operator of the "JITNEY" route on Fourth
Street at,al, requesting that he be permitted to operate a bus line,to accomodate
persons who are working, from the end of Marine drive to his present terminal at
Fourth and Pacific, and submitting schedule and route.
~otion by Mr Halverson and Mr McGillivray to grant temporary permit for three
months at pro rata license fee, carried as follows: Mr ~cGillivray, Yes. Mr Halverson
Yes. ~r Casad, Yes.
Clef*read letter from the Regional Executive of the Boy Scouts of America,thanking
the Mayor and C~missioners for the courtesies extended to the boys at their recent
Camporal. Letter ordered filed.
The Mayor called attention to a tree near the pumping plant which was in a dangerou
condition and liable to fall; Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr McGillivray to order the
tree removed at once, carried as follows: Mr ~cGillivray, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes.
~r Casad, Yes.
Motion by ~r Halverson and Mr Casad to allow all bills approved by a majority of
the co~mission, carried as follows: ~r McGillivray, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. ~r Casad,
Yes.
Motion by ~r Halverson and Mr McGilliwray to adjourn, carried as follows:
