Regular meeting of the City GOmmtsslon of the City of Bremerton,Washington, held
on Saturday Jtme 26,1937, at ten o'clock A.M. Mr Halverson presiding, 0ommtssioner
Cased and City Attorney Beakley being present at roll call.
Clerk read minutes of the previous regular meeting and on motio~ of M~ Casa~ and
Mr Halverson same were approved as follows: Mr Hlaverson, Yes. Mr Cased Yes. Mr.
Knabb, Absent.
Clerk read resolution showing that the assessment roll of L. I. D. #153 had been
filed in the office of the City Clerk and naming Saturday July 31,1937 aa date of hea~
lng protests upon said roll.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Cased to adopt resolution, carried as follows:

Clerk read resolution shOwing that the assessmen~roll of L. I. D. #154 had been
filed in the office of the City Clerk and fixing Sattrday Ju~y 31 1937 as date of
hearing upon said roll.
Motion by Mr Ealverson and Mr Cased to adopt r~ution carried as folloWs: Mr.
Halverson, Yes. Mr Oasad, Yes. Mr Enabb Absent,-
Clerk read resolution showing that the assessment roll of L. I. D. ~155 had been
filet in the City'Clerk, a office and fixing Saturday July 31 1937 as date of heam~B
thereon.
Motion by Mr Cased and Mr Halverson to adpot resolution as read, carried as follows

Clerk read ordinance ~11~1 approving and confirming the assessment roll of L. I. D.
#145 established by ordinance'~1095 providing for the imp2ovement of.Elizabeth Avenue,
et.al., providingfor levying assessments for the property benefitted and fixing Aug.
20,1937 as date of issuance of bonds in payment thereof. No Protests having been filed.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Cased to adopt ordinance as read, carried as follows:
Mr Halterson, Yes. Mr Cased, Yes. Mr Knabb, Absent.
Mr Cased submitted final estimates for L. I. Districts #153,154 and 155 and on
motion of Mr Halverson and MrOasad same wereapproved as read, both members voting Yes,
Clerk reported this as date fixed for hearing protests if any on the improvement of
CambrlanAvenue et.al, and read a protest fromM rs Martha Jenkins,
Mr Halversonaaked those present if they had any protest and the following made oral
protest to the'-i'mprovement at this time: .S.F. Ames,14§ Wycoff. Lot 23 and North 12 f~
of Lot 22 Block 23.0TC.; Abe 01sen 514 Cambrian, Lots 17-18,1~iock 3. 0T0; who also pro-
tested on behalf of Mrs LoveJoy the owner of the adjoining two lots; R. G. Purves
411 Summit Lots 22-24 Block 9 OTC; and Clarence Godsey, Lot 41 and north half of lot
40 Bloak 9 OTC.
Motion by Mr Ealverson and Mr Cased to w~,m~emrefer to City Engineer for ,checking
and continue hearing until next saturday at ten o'clock A.M., carried as follows:

Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Cased to allow all bills approved by a majority of
the commission, carried as follows: Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Cased Yes. Mr Knabb, Absent.
Motion by Mr Ealvereon~ndMr Cased to instruct the City Attorney to prepare res-
olution of intention to improve the following named streets: Wycoff Avenue f~om First
to State Highway #21; Burwell Street from Wycoff Avenue to Cambrian Avenue and Cam-
brian Avenue from First Street to State Highway #21, by grading, grubbing and grading,
the construction of sewers an~ the construction of sidewalks, carried as follows:

Mption by Mr Cased and Mr Halverson to adjourn until next monday morning at ten ~

Pursuant to adjournment the regular meeting of the city comm~ssion was reoonvened
at ten o'clock A.M.,June 26,1937, Mr ~Babb, presiding, Mr Halverson, Mr Cased and
Attorney being present at roll call.
Clerk read a petition from sixty five persons residing in the territory adjoining
the City of Bremerton requesting for the annexation of said territory by special elect
ion at some convenient time.
DESCRIPTION
,,Beginning at the intersection of the City limits of the City of Bremerton
at Ninth Street and Callow Avenue. Thence North along the center line of
Callow Avenue 1995.5 feet,more or less, to the intersection of 15th street
and Callow Avenue. Thence East along the center line of 15th Street 1053.35
feet,more or less, to a point which is the intersection of 15th Street and
the line of the City limits extended. Thence south along the line of the City
limits 1995.5 feet, more or less~ Thence Wes~ along the City limits 1053.35
feet,more or less, to the point of beginning."
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Knabb to refer to City Attorney to prepare the
necessary ordinance, carried as follows: Mr Knabb, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr
Cased, Yes.
Clerk read ordinance #ll52'amending all present ordinances relative to the
sale and use of fireworks, designating the Fire Ohief to regulate this matter
and declaring an emergency" and providing penalty for the violation of this or-
dinance."
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Knabb to pass and adopt ordinance as read,
carried as follows: Mr Enabb, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Cased, Yes.
Clerk read,by title, an ordinance relating to and regulating the installation,
arrangement,alteration and repair useand operation of electrical wiring connect-
ions and fixtures and all other electrical appliances in or on buildings or other
structures in the City of Bremerton,Washington, adopting the National Electrical
