Regular meeting of ~he city commission of the City of Bremerton,Washington,held on
saturday April 3,1937 at ten o'clock A.M.,Mayor Knabb presiding, Commissioner
Co~2sioner Cased and City Attorney Beakley being present et roll call.
Clerk read minutes of the regular meeting and adjournment thereof held March 27th
and 30th 1937 and on motion of Mr Cased and ~ Halverson same were approved.
Clerk read letter from~Mr Raymond Scott offering his services as Manager of the new
athletic field and making suggestions; on motion of Mr Cased and Mr Knabb letter ws o
filed.
Mr Cased reported that Soule and Walters were entitled to Estimate #2 on the new
sewer contract and submitted report on PWA form showing amount due this date $7,844.73
plus $908.23 for materials stored makin a total of $8,752.96
Clerk read an ordinance relating to closing hours of pawn shops, end on motion of
~Lr Cased and Mr Knabb same was passed on first reading and filed with City Attorney
one week for checking'as to form.
Cl~rk reed Ordinance providing for licensing Engineers (by title only) and on moti
of ~r Knabb and Mr Cased same was laid over for another week and attorney instructed
to add an additional section.
Clerk read proposed ordinance providing for licensing of entertainment in places
where beer and wines are sold,and providing penalties, and on motion of Mr Cased and
~lr lquebb same was referred back to City Attorney.
Clerk read proposed ordinance regulating electrical workers and on motion of ~
Halverson and ~R Knebb same was referred to City Attorney.
Clerk read an ordinance regulating the use of auto trailers or other facilities use.

Clerk read proposed ordinance providing for the recovery of damages by persons
bitten by dogs, making the owner of such dog liable and providing penalties.
Motion by ~r Knabb and Mr Cased to pass and adopt ordinance as read, carried as
follows: Mr Knabb, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Casad, Yes.
Clerk read resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor and City Clerk to sell
to William ~nderson and wife all of lots 38,39,and40, Block ll and lots 5 and 6 in Blc
12 Second a~dition to Charleston for the total sum of $510.00 cas~ and providing for
i~suance of deeds for same.
