Regular meeting of the city commission of the city of Bremerton,Washington, he].d on
Saturday December 10,1938. Mayor Knabb,Presiding, Commissioner Halverson, Commi2sion,
Ca,ad and the city attorney being present.
Clerk read minutes of the regularmeeting of December 3,1938 and December 7,1938
on motion of Mr Casad and Mr Halverson same were approved as read, all members voting

taken up and on motion of Mr Casad and Mr Halverson was continued for two more weeks.
The question of the improvement of the alley in Block 3 Navy Park Addition was agai~
considered and clerk read all .the protests against the work,which protest was said to
represent 60% of the total property owners. The Mayor asked if any person present had
anything to say and there was no response.
Motion by Mr Casad and Mr Knabb to indefinately postpone the improvement, carried
as follows: Mr Knabb, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Casad, Yes.
Clerk reported having received several bids for supplies and equipment for the new
Garage building, Motion by Mr Casad and Mr Knabb to open bids, carried as follows:

Bids were received from the foilowing firms and on motion of Mr Casad and M~r Halver-
son were all referred to the Engineering for computation.
Lowr0mn and Hanford Co, Seattle; Dando Equipment Company, Seattle;
Kuker Rankin Company, Seattle; Lofthus Lumber Yard, Bremerton;
K~ufman Leonard Company, Bremerton; Thompsons Brenerton; and
Bremerton Shade Shop. and The Bookstore, Bremerton.
Clerk read a resolution recinding the awarding of a contract dated Nov.30.1938
for supplying i hydraulic Auto Lift and one Curtis Air Compeessor as same had not been
approved by the Regional Director of P.W.A. and ordering t~at the supplies be pur-
chased as follows: The Air compressor fram Newlee Auto Parts for $154.80. and the
and the Auto Lift f~om Piston Service, Inc. for $299.00 and authorizing the Mayor and
Clerk to sign equipment contracts.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Casad to adopt resolution as read, carrie~ as follows:

Clerk read ordinance No.1260 confirming the result of the special election held in
the City of Bremerton on November 8,1938, for adopting a system or plan for the making
of certain additions and improvements to the waterworks system of the City of Bremerton
and authorizing the issuance of special revenue bonds to pay therefor;providing the fo~
thereof, exact date and maturities and other details of said bonds and authorizing the
ale thereof.
Motion by Mr Halverson and ~ Casad to adopt ordinance, carried as follows: Mr Knabb

Motion By Mr Knabb and ~ Halve rson to allow all bills approved by a majority of the

Motion by Mr ttalverson and Mr Casad that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized
to sign declaration of intention to award contract for garage supplies as per bids
opened to day. carried as follows: Mr Knabb, Yes. Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Casad, Yes.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Casad to adjourn, carried as follows: Mr Knabb, Yes.
