Regular meeting of the city co~Eission of the City of Bremerton,Washlngton,held on
Saturday July 23,19~8 at ten o'clock A.M., Commissioner Halverson,presiding, Commissi,~ner
Cased and City Attorney Beakley being also present. (Mayor Knabb absent)
Clerk read minutes of the regular meeting of July 9,1938 and adjournment thereof
held Wednesday July 13,1938, and same were oQrrected to show that Architect Branch
had been engaged to prepare the plans for the new Fire Station and Architects ~neger
and Smith had been engaged to prepare the plans for the new Garage.
Motion by Mr Cased and Mr Halverson to approve minutes.as read and corrected.oarri,,d

Clerk read letter free City Attorney reeo~ending that the claim of C.H.Hildebrand
for alleged damages be rejected; motion by Nir Halverson and Mr Cased to approve the
recon~endation of the city attorney and reject the claim of C.H.Hilderbrand,carried
as follows: Mr Halve rson, Yes. Mr Cased Yes. (Mr Knabb absent)
Clerk read ordinance #1230 being an ordinance regulating the standing of vehicles
within the city of Br~nerton; providing for the installation and use of Sark-0-Meters
in prescribed areas;providing penalties for the violation thereof and amending Seatiol
9 of ordinance 1201.
Motion by Mr Cased and Mr Halverson to pass and adopt ordinance; carried as follo~

Clerk read AGREANL~T between the ~ational Park-O-Graf corporation,party of the
first part and the City of Brenerton party of the second part providing for the inst-
elation of 350 park-o-meters without cost to the city of Bre~erton on a trial basis oi~
six months, during which trial period the city agrees to remit to the party of the fl~st
part 50% of the total gro~s revenue derived fram said meters and the city to retain
fifty per cent to expend in any manner it sees fit.
Motion by Mr Cased and ~ir Halverson to adopt agreement and authorize the Mayor and
city clerk to sign same, carried as follows: Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Casad, Yes. (

Clerk read ordinance #1231 creating a planning commission for the city of Bremerto~,
~a~Rhing~on, relating to the organization of such planning commission,prescribing and
regulating the duties a~d powers of such commission and declaring an emergency.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Cased to strike out the part providing for an emerge~ey,
carried as follows: Mr Halverson,Yes. Mr Cased, Yes. (Mr Knabb absent)
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Cased to pass and adopt ordinance as read and correc'~ed,
carried as follows: Mr Halverson, Yes. Mr Cased, Yes, (Mr Knabb absent.)
An ordinance regulating fares of taxi cabs and providing penalties for the violati,~n
of same was introduced and read by title~ and on motion of Mr Halverson and Mr Casad
was referred to the commission for consideration.
Motion by Mr Halverson and Mr Casad to allow all bills approved by a majority of

Clerk read resolution showing the necessity for the West Bremerton Storm sewer and
and declaring that it will be necessary to receive assistance fram some other source
than the adjacent property owners and making application to the State Highway Departm,~nt
for ~1500.00 to be granted from the State Gas Tax Fund allocated to the city for eon-
struction purposes,to be used on the construction of above named sewer.
