Clerk read petition from Dr Polk and 60 other per~ons residing in the vicinity of the Che~ter Street gate to the. Navy Yard, requesting the cotillion to e~tabli~h new parking regulation~ for the adJecent ~treet~. blotion by Mr Halver~on and Mr Ca-ad to refer to the Police Dept and the City AttF. carried a~ follow~: Mr Halve~on ~. Clerk read letter from the "Charleston" bu~ine~ men'~ a~ociation celling attent- ion ~o the new park~g regulation~ in a part of their bu~ine~ district and requesting that the old ~y~tem be continued. The cmmi~ioner~ ~tated they knew nothing of the change and on motion of Mr Halvernon and i.lr Ca-ad the letter wa~ referred to the Chief of Polic~ and the city attorney. Clerk reed petition from 22 property owner~ requesting the improvement of Lincoln Avenue, Ohio Avenue, Che~ter Avenue, and 15th Street between 13th and 15th ~treets,by cl~saring, grading,grubbing and con~tz'uction of ~torm and eanitary ~ewer~. Motion by Mr Halver~on and Mr Ca,ad to refer to the Engineering department for check lng, carried a~ follow~: Mr Halver~on, Ye~. idr Ca~a~, Ye~. Mr ~abb not voting. Clerk read ordinance #1277 amending ordinance 1272 and repealing section 9 of ~aid ordinance 1272. Motion by ~ Ca,ad and Mr Halver~on to adopt ordinance a~ read, carried a~ follow~: idr Halver~on, Ye~. l;~ Cased, Ye~. Mr Ymabb not voting. Motion by Mr Halvernon and Mr Ca,ad to authorize and direct the Clerk to i~ue permit to the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for u~e of the city ~treet~. carried a~ follow~: Mr Halver~on, Ye~. Clerk called attention to the fact that the hearing on the a~e~ment roll of L.I.D. 1~[179 had been continued until today, and ~tated that no further prote~t~ had been filed ~,r Iialver~on enquired if any per~on pre~ent wished to enter prote~t and there wa~ no Motion by Mr H~lver~on ~nd Mr Ca~d that all prote~t~ be overruled,c~rried a~ follow~ ~r Halver~on, Ye~. Clerk read re~olution authorizing and directing the City Cotillion to make arrahge- ment~ to have plan~ drawn and price e~timate~ made in connection with the making of necessary repair~ and alterations to the City Hall building in the City of Bremerton to the end that the various city office~ housed or to be housed therein can be more con- veniently arranged for accomodation of the public. Mr I(nabb not voting. ~lerk read re~olution declaring it to be the duty of every employee of the city to report all accident~ involving personal injury or property de, ge, to ~er~e~ in charge of hi~ department, and ~king it the dut~ of such person in charge to ir. uuediately ma~e a writt~ report of ~uch accident to the city attorney.
