Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton, Washington,
was held in the Mayor's office of the City Hall at 5:0§ P.N., Friday, April
2, 1948. Mayor Kean presiding. Mrs. Haddon, absent. Nr. Gorst, the City
Attorney and the City Water Superintendent being present.
Mayor Kean explained that the meeting was called for the purpose of dis-
cussing the proposed contract with the .Navy Department for the Puget Sound
Naval Shipyard and Naval Ammunition Depot, in order to agree on a new ~ate
from July l, 19~8 to June 30,~ 19~9 and consideration of the contract.
City Attorney read contract~ with a discussion of the separate clauses
as read.
Water Superintendent Casad recommended the approval an~ acceptance of the
contract by the Council.
Notion by Mr. Gorst and Nr. Kean to condu~ in the recommendation and ap-
prove the contract as read, with instructions to the Mayorand the City CIs rk to
sign same, carried as follows: l~r. Kean, Yes. Nr. Gorst, Yes. Nfs. Haddon,
absent.
Notion by Nr. Gorst and Nr. Kean that the City Attorney be instructed ,to
prepare a resolution so that the charge for water service against the Puget
Sound Naval Shipyard shall be based upon the contract which has been previously
in existance, carried, all members present voting Yes.
