A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton, Washington
was held in the office of the Mayor on Friday, January 27, 19~6~ at 10:00 A.M.
with Mayor Domstad presiding and Commissioner Cullin, Commissioner Wheaton, City
Clerk McGowan and City Attorney Holland present. City Water Superintendent C.C.
Casad also attended.
City Clerk McGowan read Ordinance No. 214~ authorizing a change in contract
rates of garbage collection for the Puget Service Company on second and final read-
ing.
Motion by Commissioner Cullin and Commissioner heaton approving Ordinance
No. 2147, carried.
City Clerk read Ordinance No. 2148, providing for an emergency appropriation
to cover cost of the special election.
Motion by Miss Cullin and Mr~ Wheaton approving for immediate passage the
emergency appropriation ordinance, carried.
Mr. Wheaton advised the Council of the need for bid calls for ~lu~e gates
and outlet valve for the Union River ~am project, and asked the date be set for
February 15th for the opening of bids.
Motion by Mr. Wheaton and Miss Cullin directing the p~rchasing agent to call
for oids for five (6) cast iron sluice gates and one (1) free discharge outlet
valve for the Union River Dam Project, said bids to be opened February 15, 19~6,
carriet.
