Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton, Washington, was
held Friday, February 27, 1959 at 11:00 o'clock A.M., in the Mayorts Office, City
Hall with Mayor Domstad presiding. Present were Commissioner Clark, Commissioner
Wheaton, City Clerk McGowan and City Attorney Holland and reprsentatives of the press
and radio.
Mayor Domstad grated the purpose of the special meeting was to consider a res-
olution relating to cross-sound b~idging, and to make an award on liability insurance.
Clerk read Resolution No. 1045, which requested and urged the Legislature to
pass House Bill 589 and House Bill 678 authorizing the construction of the Cross-
Sound Bridge Project.
City Attorney suggested copies be sent to~l members of the Legislature.
Motion by Mr. Domstad and Mr. Wheaton to pass Resolution No. 1045, carried.
City Clerk stated the Council had referred to a committee the liability insur-
ance bids and had in turn referred them to the citizens insurance advisory committee
and asked that they sit in on the deliberations.
The Insurance Advisory Committee then called an executive session and went in-
to the insurance policies. ~Frank Darragh supplied aditional information w~ch had not
been set out in his bid.
Clerk then read letter dated Feb. 27, 1959 signed by R.T. Pierson, Chairman,
Insurance Advisory Committee recommending the award be made to Frank Darragh Agency
and recommending also that the Committee be called upon for assistance in preparing
specifications for future public liability requirements of the City.
Motion by Mr. Clrk and Mr. Domstad to accept Frank Darragh's bid for liability
insurance, carried.
Mr. McGowan stated the property damage policy Would be the $50.00 deductible.
Meeting adjourned.
