County Commission O~airman Jack Rogers who had accused the City of bad public policy if not illegal practices had previously stated that he would ask the County Prosecutor Myron Freyd to request tile opinion from the Attorney General. City Attorney Walgren then replied that in the history of the State Attorney General's office, the policy on statutes has been that they are upheld as constitutional until a court decides otherwise. He then suggested that the question be confined specifically to the 1.4 millage issue rather than general taxation policies, lie also added that he was confident that the taxing methods now used hy the City are correct and legal, regardless of what comnents may be made otherwise, lie did, however, agree to request the opinion from the Attorney General's Office. City Attorney Walgren reported on the Court Case between North Perry Water District and the City.
