SUMMARY: The Council approved a new Zoning Code on Nov. 30, 2005, and by separate motion
set the height limit for the Highland and Pleasant A venues residential area at 60 feet with a concurrent
moratorium on new development over 40 feet in order to draft design guidelines for new, larger
residential projects. After a complete public involvement process, the Planning Commission voted
unanimously on March 21 st to recommend the guidelines to the Council for adoption.
