SUMMARY: The City of Bremerton Police Department has a contract with the Bremerton Housing
Authority to provide police service for the Westpark Housing development. The 2006 contract
requires an addendum to meet new BHA community policing requirements for the Firs Apartment
construction area. The 2006 addendum identifies financial terms and specific services. The contract
is through September 2006 or until the Russell Road construction project is complete.

ATTACHMENTS: 2006 Contract Addendum for Supplemental Police Services
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Bremerton Police Department will obtain
additional funding from BHA in order to conduct police patrols as indicated in the addendum. The
supplemental services will not exceed $27,072.00.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the 2006 service contract addendum with the
Bremerton Housing Authority to support community policing services in Westpark Housing and
authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the contract addendum with substantially the same terms
and conditions as contained in the proposed agreement.
