As discussed, our project scope was limited to the' trusses themselves. Design of the balance of the residence and the addition is/was by others. The analysis using actual dead loads and a 25 PSF Roof Live Load was performed in accordance with the UBC94. The frame analysis found the original truss to be deficient, but complies with the code if the additional members are added as indicated in the attached sketch. The 2x6 framing is to provide a sufficient header over the existing bearing wall. CONSTRUCTION NOTES: 1. All gussets to be W' COX of size indicated.
