A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, authorizing the retroactive application of
salary adjustments for certain management and professional
employee positions following conclusion of the current pay plan
study and approval of a management and professional employee
pay plan expected later this year.
WHEREAS, during the 2006 budget review process, adjustments were proposed
to the salaries for certain management and professional employee positions based upon the
review of the salaries for management and professional employees; and
WHEREAS, upon review of the proposed salary adjustments, the City Council
requested a more comprehensive review ofthe positions and salaries; and
WHEREAS, the review of management and professional employee positions and
salaries is expected to be concluded later this year; and
WHEREAS, because this review is expected to take a few months to complete,
City Council believes it is appropriate to authorize any adjustments that may be approved to be
effective on a date earlier than the anticipated completion date of the current study; NOW
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Salary adjustments authorized by the City Council as a result of the
current pay plan study of management and professional employee positions shall be effective
retroactive to April 16, 2006.
SECTION 2. Severa b ilitv. If anyone or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
